This week I’ve been making mugs, bowls, and jewelry for our NCECA Fundraiser.
I put together some necklaces that I made last semester. Making the chain fairly short helps the beads spread out into a nicer semicircle. I decided to make several more sets and individual pieces, for gifts and for selling.
I also made some pots with my cone 6 Lizella clay body. It’s horrible to work with, so short and sandy, but the color is nice. I’m really excited about firing these in cone 6 soda – I plan to use only white glaze and possibly some of the Lizella terra sig that I made, which could be a nice color palette in midrange soda.
I also shipped two mug sets out to the Twin Cups show. Shows are expensive! I drew on the inner box so that my pieces could be easily identified…
